What are the Four Stages of Injection Molding?
Clamping: The injection molding machine secures the two mold halves together, ensuring they remain closed during injection.
Injection: Molten plastic is forcefully injected into the closed mold, filling all spaces under high pressure.
Cooling: Once filled, the plastic cools and hardens, adopting the shape of the mold's cavities. Controlled cooling rates prevent defects and maintain consistent part dimensions and properties.
Ejection: After cooling, the mold opens, and an ejection mechanism releases the finished part. The cycle repeats for subsequent parts.
